THE FLORIDA KEYS

Marinas

All marinas listed in this chapter take transient boaters, but we suggest you make reservations at least a month in advance from Dec through Mar. Most marinas have stores or are within walking distance of a convenience market. The marinas keep an active list of expert marine mechanics who are generally on call. We highlight fuel dock facilities and availability of laundry, showers, and restrooms. We also point out restaurants and the hot spots for partying while ashore. Dockmasters monitor VHF channel 16, but they will ask you to switch channels once you have established contact. They will give you detailed directions to the marinas.
