If you can see his best, are you responsible for fixing and coaching him toward that best? No. Fear will tell you that he is the best you will ever get, so stay with him and fix him up. Scarcity is a lie, so donât let it make you desperate.
Just because you see potential in him doesnât mean you are obligated to coach him into a hypothetical highest potential. There are 7.6 billion people on the planet. There are plenty of non-imaginary men waiting to exceed your expectations. By staying with him, he might miss out on being met with open arms by one of the billions of women on the planet who have different expectations and standards than you.
The truth is, everyone has potential. That doesnât mean they get to put a ring on your finger.
Ask yourself: If someone showed me an image of the perfect partner for me, would I still be with this man? If the answer is no, you need to respect yourself, him, and his future partner and end the relationship. You can only receive your person when you are willing to get honest and let go of the wrong guys.
