Chapter 28
The Fading Scars
Entering the living room, my eyes instinctively fall on the silver-haired male seated on the couch. After his intense solo training in the backyard, he hasnât moved from that spot. His locks are tinged by a hint of sweat, and his eyes are glued to an invisible spec on the ceiling. When I observed him fight the swivel dummy, it was clear that he was channeling his pent-up anger and frustration in his strikes.
I quietly walk over, keeping my footsteps quiet, as I observe the hunter. He has his head tilted back against the headrest. As I stand beside him, his gaze finally peels away from the ceiling and is directed toward me. My chest constricts as I stare at the hunter's fragile and vulnerable demeanor. With some hesitation, I ask, "How are you feeling..?"
Logan watches me for a moment before patting his thigh. I obey instantly, straddling him as my knees rest on the couch on either side. The male looks up at me as a soft smile forms on his lips. "You make me feel better.", he whispers, as he wraps his arms around my waist. My heart bleeds for the male, and I delicately cup his face.
The hunter lets out a small hum at the contact, his eyes dropping down to my lips. His own part invitingly, and I, feeling drawn in, canât help but oblige, kissing him with such desperation. Our tongues eagerly unite, swirling together as two touch-deprived lovers. Pressing my chest against his, my hands caress his cheeks on their way to the back of his head and into his silvery locks.
I tug on his silken hair and massage his scalp while our heads tilt and move in sync, our lips briefly detaching only to collide fiercely once more. The fear of losing the hunter that I have been harboring since yesterday only fuels my need for him. The burning sensation in my lungs grows as we refuse to take in the proper amount of air. When it finally overpowers our desire to consume each other, we part, panting heavily.
Resting my forehead against his, I scan his face to understand the depths of his feelings. The maleâs pupils, dilated, slowly roll up to meet mine. His ragged breathing from his parted lips elevates his erotic appearance. Loganâs whisper comes out barely audibly, âDonât stopâ¦â
That is all it takes for me to capture his delicious lips once more. As we engage in another heated make-out session, I grind my crotch against his. His hands remain stationed at my waist, indicating that Iâll have to be the one taking control this time. Picking up on my duties right away, my hands slide down to the buttons of his shirt. One by one, theyâre unbuttoned, the feeling of the fabric slipping away underneath my fingers turning me on even more.
Trailing my lips down his jawline, I spray hot kisses and hickeys all over his neck and throat. Logan groans in passion and closes his eyes, resting his head against the headrest once more.
