This is how you will always setup for this algorithm. Here’s the tricky part: if the orange -white piece is flipped (so the white side is up instead) you would turn in the other direction, because you turn the piece 90° away from the spot you want to put it in. This is shown in the images below.

Let’s return to the first situation, where the orange side of the orange -white piece is up. Remember to turn the orange -white piece 90° away from where you want to put it.

Hold the cube with the green face on top, the white face in front of you, and the orange face on the right, as shown in the image below. Now do the following algorithm:

R – Rotate the Right (orange ) face clockwise 90°.
