This book incorporates these three study principles. It sets out an approach to studying maths which we call the Q & A Method.

Q & A stands for Questions and Answers. This is because it involves answering exam questions and getting feedback as to how to answer the questions.

Q & A also stands for Qualified and Assured. By using this approach you will feel qualified to answer whatever questions are thrown at you in the exam. Plus by studying in this way you will feel assured and confident. You will therefore feel calm as you enter the exam room.

How to use this book

This book contains 53 GCSE Maths past paper questions and model answers. They are Higher Level questions and are organised into two papers.

The questions are very slightly different from the official papers from the exam boards. This is because copyright law does not allow me to use their papers word-for-word. So I have created replica questions. The questions are as close as I can make them to the originals in terms of the topic and the nature of the question and the level of difficulty.

With my model answers, I don’t just show the answers – I show all the working out also. My model answers are detailed but simple-to-understand.

So set aside some time to do the past papers yourself. You can answer the questions either by reading from the screen or by printing blank copies of the past papers from this link - http://www.drzargle.com/volume1-questions.pdf

When you finish each paper, compare your answers to the model answers.

Finally, good luck. Study in this way and you will do just fine!
