Fuck yeah. She finally said yes! I sit in my truck down the street from the diner, grinning like a fucking idiot as I wait for her to finish closing up and head home. Ms. Agnes and Murphy left a few minutes ago, no doubt shooed out by Audrey, who is usually the last to leave.

I can't believe my girl finally agreed to go out with me. When I came back to the diner tonight, I didn't think I stood a chance in hell of getting her to agree to give me a chance. But I couldn't sleep until I saw her again.

Gracie came back yesterday, four months pregnant with Trevor's baby. Once he found out the truth about why she left the way she did, he didn't waste any time claiming her. He put a ring on her finger yesterday and will probably have her married before the week is out.

I'm the last man standing…and I fucking loathe it. Especially when my baby doll is so close. I still don't know why she keeps telling me no. She said she's never dated before, but I don't think that's why she's spent the last six months turning me down. I get the impression there's something she isn't saying, something she doesn't want me to know.

I desperately want to know what that reason is, but I haven't asked my PI friend to look into it like I normally would. Mostly because I want my girl to open up to me on her own. I want her to trust me with every thought that crosses her mind, want her to share every secret she has.

Being patient is for the fucking birds though. I don't like it. I'm an impatient motherfucker, especially when it comes to her. I want her in my bed like yesterday, with my ring on her finger and my baby in her belly. I don't think I'll be able to relax until she's tied to me in every way possible.

She's a virgin. I expected as much, but…Fuck. Me. I damn near came all over myself when she confirmed it. If she thought it'd turn me off, she was wrong. I want to be her first and last, want to teach her everything about sex and be the one she explores and learns with.

I wish like hell I'd waited for her so she could be my first too. But I can't change my past, as much as I wish I could. All I can do is promise that she'll be my last.

As soon as I convince her to fall in love with me.

Fuck. I hope she's easy to convince because I'm kind of a pain in the ass. Mom and Luna tell me all the time that I'm lucky I'm pretty or women would probably strangle me. Everyone thinks I'm laid back and easy-going because I like to joke around, but the people who know me know I'm bossy and overprotective and a bit of a controlling asshole.

I also like to stay busy and keep moving.
