Jamie was pulling up when I arrived home. I went downstairs and decided to address it when Grace, Willow, Tori, and Hayden were giving me all the questioning looks.

“Jamie is having problems with his family and will be staying with me for a bit.”

“I hope in your bed,” Willow chuckled. “That man is fine and all about you. He’s my first choice for you to keep because he’s not as pushy as Colton or Isiah can be. You don’t need that after what you’ve been through.”

“I hope you keep them all after what you’ve been through,” Tori said.

“You’re the best role model,” Grace said with a sigh. “Screw all this bullshit on social media about owning women and putting us in our place below men. It should be men lining up to be with us who are awesome.”

“Amen, Sister,” Hayden called over from the counter where she was cleaning up.

Oh boy.

Jamie was a bit confused when I let him in and the others were chuckling or giving him looks. “Ladies, have a lovely evening.” He waited until we were in the elevator. “What gives?”

“Apparently, they hope I keep all of you, but Willow likes you best,” I admitted.

“I knew Willow was sharp,” he said with a completely straight face before chuckling when I elbowed him.

“Only two bags?” I checked.

“I left two more at my place since I figured we were going there in secret anyways. “I have the address Colton said we can use as long as you hide it from view. I’ll work on packing up and getting an actual storage unit for now.”

“Perfect.”

It was done in like twenty minutes and then I was with the day.

But Jamie wasn’t.

“Okay, so don’t be mad, but I’ve been doing some reading.”

“And why would you reading make me mad?” I hedged.

“Because they were books written by psychologists about PTSD, CTSD, and how to help a partner after they’ve been raped.”

I blinked at him for a full two minutes, my mind trying to wrap around what he was saying. “Why would I ever be mad at you doing something so sweet and trying to help?”

He opened his mouth but then closed it. “Well, I’m not going to give you ideas and change your mind if you’re not mad. It led me to a few ideas though.”

“Like?”

“Like taking a bath with our swimsuits on.”

“That seems silly,” I hedged.

He shrugged. “Maybe, but I think that’s part of it and not as scary. I’ve never taken a naked bath with a woman and I find it intimidating and I haven’t been through what you have so yeah, that seemed like an easy step even if it’s just soaking like in a hot tub.”

I had trouble keeping up with that he said it so fast, but then I shrugged. “Okay, we can try it. Wine?”

“Let’s not. How about something fun? Sparkling apple juice or something else silly?”

I was willing to give it a shot. I showed him where my bath was, frowning that it maybe wasn’t big
