âFinally!â I shouted, nearly leaping out of my seat.
I had spent 12 Mana on a rooftop observation area for us to use in the dungeon entryway area. It raised the flat roof we normally stood on just a bit more, giving us a full view of the cityscape below and all of its sharp turns and alleyways. I had set it up as a rooftop bar of sorts, with tables and chairs along with a decorative fire pit for warmth, but I couldnât actually add a functioning bar. I needed a Room Type: Entertainment ability for that. I also found an ability called Remote Type Station that would be incredibly useful, allowing us to use items from other Room Types in different rooms if it was less than 10% of the roomâs total size.
It wasnât the excitement of leveling that caused me to jump up, or the thoughts of spending the AP. No, it was something else. It was the faint glow that lingered over the corpses of the first 4 mobs, showing like pillars of gold in the dim streets. With so many of our intruders not making it very far into the dungeon it had taken a few attacks on us for it to finally work. Luckily, a group of 7 Ogo mushroom people were nothing to scoff at, and they managed to take down everyone in the room but the caster thug, who continued to puff away on her cigarette unharmed.
âLoot⦠Did it work? Did this loophole actually work?â Calarel said, practically leaping off of the roof.
âWonât know until we get down there. Letâs do it,â I said.
For the first time, the entire group agreed and moved down together, heading towards the downed mobs as a single unit. We hadnât nailed down how long the reset time was on the dungeon, but Manbis had speculated that there was a 10-minute window after a dungeon has been intruded or delved, which meant a 10-minute window for us to grab loot before the mobs reset. That made sense the more I thought about it, as there would be nothing stopping an army from entering and demolishing the entire dungeon in waves if they wanted to .
Calarel was pretty adamant that a delving party could only have 8 people maximum, but that there were forbidden tools and spells capable of temporarily breaking a dungeon entryway to allow for a second group of 8 to enter, which worked the same on towers and their climbers; They called it raiding, claiming it was only used for particular powerful dungeons and towers with high kill counts.
