'Wait!' a familiar voice cried. 'It's Lisa!'

Riser hesitated as Lisa grabbed his arm.

'Don't shoot,' she said. 'It sounds like my mother.'

Squinting through bright sunlight she shrank back in horror when she saw a dark muscular creature emerging from the boulders behind them. It had arms and legs like a man but it was much bigger and stronger in its build. She gasped when she saw that it had a bull's head with curved, white horns and black fur covering its whole body. It strode towards her on heavy black hooves, carrying a long-handled halberd in one hand.
