How to Follow a Dream—Lesson Six: Boys should always be willing to give Cleveland a chance. It is a good city where many good people are found. Getting out on Route 80 to experiment with a new place and new people can be life-transforming. And we should never give up on deeply forgetful old folks, because they too have souls and we can be present with them in peace. Give them a chance. Even the most deeply forgetful people can reveal their continuing oneness with the infinite Mind and Love. Our brain cells may deteriorate, and as a result our language may be lost, but we are all still eternal souls having a human experience, and ultimately each of us remains a drop of divine Mind. Mind is before matter, so matter cannot diminish Mind in any ultimate sense, although it may look that way. The deeply forgetful individual who seems so distant much of the time is just someone who has already headed to the railroad station and started to climb aboard that train bound for glory—it just hasn’t quite left.
