As he points out, this requires empathy and, where truths are being confronted, there is an underlying need for an underlying culture of trust and compassion, where hurt might be predicted and support offered.

Asif Sadiq’s chapter looks at the issues that large global organisations face. He advocates a sense of belonging as central to a common cultural experience, available and implicit wherever a global organisation might locate its offices. He recognises, however, that local external environments might influence the actuality of how diversity management can be enacted.
