The next three weeks flew by. I was working and Ghost was busy building a custom bike with Blaze. Harper was still staying with us because after the first of the year, she’d actually been offered the job at Dublin Falls General. She was talking about getting an apartment as soon as it was safe to live outside the compound. I saw Viper’s face. He wasn’t going to go for that idea. They seemed to be getting along but I wasn’t sure if they’d progressed the relationship all the way or not.

We were now into the beginning of February. Samuel’s first birthday had been celebrated and the club was progressing on our house. It was hard to believe it was two months since we’d picked out our house plans. They were building and expected it to be complete sometime in April. Ghost was trying to see if they could have it done by the end of March. He and the other guys were working on it in their spare time. I’d set our wedding for March twenty-fourth. The venue was the biggest decision for me. I didn’t want a church. Most of the others had outdoor weddings, and I wanted to have something different. Brielle had come up with a unique idea. Since we were incorporating the Indian aspect, we should have the actual ceremony in a huge teepee. I loved the idea. We were going to go with this and then have the reception at the clubhouse. We had room to set up the teepee on the compound grounds.

The guys were doing a lot of meetings and had done a run or two. None of us were sure what they were doing but they always came back tired. I hoped it was nothing that would end up getting them hurt or killed. I’d ordered the decorations for the wedding. Alannah was doing the cake and had a great idea for how to decorate it. The daycare was doing well. Today, Brielle, Alannah, and I were going into town to get things to make the centerpieces. Janessa was very crafty, and she had given me an idea. We were having an escort of at least three going with us. Even in town, they didn’t trust that we wouldn’t have trouble.

It ended up Hawk, Devil Dog, and Finn who came to escort us. We hit a craft store and then a local party store. We found exactly what we were looking for and the place settings for the tables. We were headed back to the car, when I ran into Cassie and Hannah on the street. We stopped to chat. She was telling me about the new daycare she had Hannah in. It was nothing like ours. She expressed her wish she could bring her back to be with us. I pulled her to the side. “Cassie, its none of my business, however, you don’t seem happy. Is it because of your husband? I know he blames the club for his business, but I promise you they’re not doing anything to ruin it.
