I knew I should stop using Gizelle to make Nyxia jealous, but I couldn't control myself when she was around. The way her face contorted and how her eyes grew wide, I could tell that it drove her crazy and that she was jealous. I was eating it up. The way her cheeks would blush; the way she would absentmindedly pull her bottom lip in… fuck it was hot. Why did I love pushing her buttons so much? It made her hate me, but it also made my want for her increase. My desire for her kept growing no matter what I did, but it was more than that, I wanted to protect her, keep her safe, and make her mine. When she told me what Frank had done, I completely lost it. He had a chance to be with her and had completely ruined it by picking Jessica. She had no redeeming qualities, other than the fact that she put out. Maybe they deserved each other.

I watched as she walked away with her brother and Myna, craving that icy feeling as it slowly morphed back into heat. My mind and my heart fought as I wanted to chase after her but knew I shouldn’t. Grabbing Gizelle by the waist, I put her in the seat next to me. Her on my lap felt all wrong, it made my skin crawl.

“So you’re only possessive when other women are around?” she snarked.

“Something like that,” I replied, coldly.

“What the hell has gotten into you lately?” She was pissed, but I could care less.

“Nothing, what are you talking about?” I feigned ignorance, though I knew exactly what she meant.

I could feel Nyxia’s eyes on me as they got to the door, I glanced up and my eyes caught on her gaze, something in her eyes was different. It was as if she was seeing me for the first time. I squirmed in my seat, not able to take the discomfort from her stare.

“Why are you looking at her like that?” Gizelle blocked my view of her.

“Like what?” I snapped. The sound of her voice was vexing to my ears, her leering down at me annoyed me to no end.

“Oh my god, you like her.” Her jaw dropped wide as she stood up. “I can’t believe I didn't notice it before, but it's so obvious. Well get it out of your system, you know you will marry me and there is nothing you, or her, can do about it. But try to hide that ‘I want to fuck you look’ on your face when she is around, please. It's insulting.” And with that, she stormed off.

“Making her hate you is working out well, I perceive?” Esen chimed in.

“Well, she told me I was an asshole and a dick last night, so yes I would say the plan is going very well.” I bit at Esen, my emotions all over the place. Gizelle was right, I had a duty to my people, and as bad as I wanted Nyxia, her and I could never be.
