Getting up close and personal

I shoot rather close to my food subjects most of the time. It’s my style, and it looks best to me when shooting food images. I want to see the textures, the colors, and the imperfections in my subjects (see Figure 8-3). I want to zoom in very near to the dish and shoot an intimate view that’s so close I can almost taste the food.
