15f. Release the tying thread and bring it up in front of the hook, sliding it upward between thumb and hair tuft. Bring it down between tuft and forefinger on the far side of the hook.

15g. The thread should cross the hair slightly ahead of the barb. Keep the hair on top of the hook. Do not let it be pulled around under the hook by the thread. Another turn of thread as close as possible to the first will anchor the hair. Keep the tying thread taut.

15h. Lift the hair tuft and carry the thread around behind it, keeping the thread tight at the hook. When the thread has crossed behind the tuft and is on the far side of the hook, release the hair with the left hand so the right may pass by and bring the thread forward and toward you above the hook shank. Again grip the hair tuft with the left hand and carry the tying thread behind it. This time bring the thread down on the far side of the hook and up again in front in the usual way. One complete turn of thread now circles the base of the tail.
