CHAPTER 13
Maeve entering her room, walked to the window seat, sitting down. Looking out the window she saw the purples and blue red colors of the coming sunrise over the trees across the lake. Turning on the new cell phone, Maeve didn’t need to look at the number of the slip of paper. She had her father’s number ingrained in her memory. Dialing the number, she waited for her father to answer the phone. Maeve heard her father say “Hello?” Maeve her breath catching in her throat said, “Dadaí, it is me Colleen.” John Doyle, filled with emotion, said, “My Colleen, it is good to hear your voice after all these years. I have missed you.” Maeve replied, “I have missed you. I need your help, Dadaí. My husband, Frank, is in critical condition in Mexico, and I need Fiona to attend to him, until I can get there. I have the coordinates where they are. General Matthiessen has told me you have a group of men meeting my boat on the coast in Los Cabos.” John quiet for a moment said, “Colleen, this is not a place for you to be, it is a war.” Tears flooded Maeve’s eyes, while she replied, “You forget, Dadaí, I have been there before. Frank is my husband and I must be there to help him. I need you to send another team to the coordinates I will text you, including Fiona with medical supplies. I cannot go directly to Frank when I arrive, I need to deal with Adrian Martinez, he is expecting me.”
John quietly said, “I do not know how he has figured out who you are, my daughter. You know what you must do.” Maeve, quiet for a moment, replied, “I do, Dadaí. I assume you sent the supplies I will need with the group that will meet me on the coast?” “I have Colleen, but let your brother, Ennis take care of this Adrian Martinez, you are now forty-five years old, my girl and it has been a long time since you have practiced your skills.” Maeve lightly laughed and replied, “Dadaí, it is like riding a bike, you never forget. I may be forty-five, but still as agile as always. I will text you the coordinates, can you send the group this morning? If they leave this morning, they can be there tomorrow morning.” John nodding, replied, “I will arrange transportation right away. Colleen, I need you to be careful, my girl.” Maeve replied determinedly, “I will Dadaí, it will be good to see Ennis. When I left, he was still a youth. I must go, I have my transportation waiting. I love you Dadaí, and I pray we may one day see each other again.” John quiet for a moment replied, “Yes, my girl. I would like to hear the story on how you married the right-hand man of Carmine DeLuca.” With a chuckle, John hung up the phone.
Maeve quickly texted the coordinates to her Father, grabbing
