"Look out!" The sudden warning rings out, shattering the calm atmosphere of the restaurant. Almost in response, a scream ripples through the room like an electric shock, capturing everyone's attention. Our heads snap up in unison, and our eyes land on one of the waitresses.

Her long white skirt has become trapped on the base of a large, decorative metal snowflake. A massive tray stacked with delicate dishes slips from her grasp, crashing onto the floor in a symphony of shattered glass. As her ankle twists awkwardly within her high heel, she wobbles perilously on the edge of a disastrous fall.

"She's going to fall onto the glass," I gasp, horror gripping me, my heart racing. I scan the room, finding most patrons frozen in their seats. Suddenly, movement catches my peripheral vision. I turn just in time to witness Baron's lightning-quick reaction—sprinting across the restaurant with purpose and determination. He reaches the scene in a flash, gripping the trapped fabric of the skirt firmly. With a swift, audible rip, the fabric is torn free. As the waitress is released from her entanglement, she tumbles back, landing gently on a mound of faux snow. Amidst the debris of broken glass, Baron manages to maintain his balance, skillfully avoiding any potential injuries.

It all happens so quickly, leaving the diners at the back of the restaurant in a state of confusion. Their conversations pause as they try to make sense of the sudden applause—an outpouring of appreciation for Baron's courageous intervention. The room transitions from a moment of shock to one of collective admiration.

Amidst this, the poor waitress is sobbing, her ankle taking on a nasty shade of purple as it swells to the size of a copper melon. Three waiters quickly appear on the scene, and while two of them diligently set to work cleaning up the broken glass, the third wraps an arm around the waitress, helping her to her feet and supporting her weight as he guides her through the kitchen doors.

"Oh my realms, Baron! Are you alright?" I rise from my seat as he returns to the table, gripping his arms.

"I'm fine," he reassures me. "No scratches at all! Luckily, I managed to keep my balance; that could've been nasty."

"Well, you acted bravely," I say, wrapping my arms around him for a reassuring hug.

He chuckles softly, his hand rubbing my back. "You're sweet, but really, it wasn't a big deal. Just instinct kicking in." With a graceful gesture, he pulls out my chair.

We've barely resumed our seats when a husky polar bear shifter comes over, introducing himself as the owner. With pale white skin, a shock of white hair, and piercing black eyes, it's as if he's part of the wintry atmosphere itself. I can't help but find it amusing—him owning The Polar Palace and all.

With a friendly nod, he shifts his attention to Baron, his bear-like eyes radiating sincere appreciation. "The Polar Palace and its staff are truly grateful for your help," he says, his deep voice carrying through the air.
