And it did.

Finally, Anthony started to look like Anthony again. When he said he was still hungry, Sophia handed Zack the sword she had used to kill the zombie.

“Zack will find you more food,” she said to Anthony. “And this time, you can eat every last bite!”

DOWN IN THE DUNGEON

This is it, thought Anthony as he peered into the dimly lit room. A dungeon. A real live dungeon!

He looked past the monster spawner to the two treasure chests lining the cobblestone walls. A spark of excitement raced down his spine, like power along a trail of Redstone dust.

“Don’t get too close to the spawner,” Sophia cautioned. “We don’t know which mobs it spawns yet.”

But Zack blew right past her. “I’m on it,” he said as he drew his sword.

“Zack!”

Too late. As the spawner came to life, the flame inside the cage swirled and spun. Then a newborn zombie was staggering toward them, as if he’d been in the room all along.

“Zombies! Ha!” cried Zack. “You guys head for the treasure. I’ll handle these slowpokes.”

Anthony dodged the zombie and tripped over the cobblestone toward a treasure chest. He could barely lift the lid, his palms were so sweaty. What was inside? He couldn’t wait to find out!
