Chapter 18
(Hazel)
âUmm, Hazel?â I hear Ivy talking to me, but I ignore her and cuddle deeper into my very comfortable pillow.
âHazel!â I groan out in annoyance, and pull the covers over my head without opening my eyes.
âFive more minutes, Ivy! Jesus, Iâm tired.â
I feel my pillow start laughing and stroking my hair. This is such a nice damn pillow and it even smells like Asher. Then my common sense comes back, and I remember that pillows canât do either of those two things.
I peeked out from under the blanket and saw Asher looking like an Abercrombie and Fitch model with his hair messed up, and sleepy eyes looking at me as he smiled shyly. Good God itâs not fair I tell you! He wakes up looking like that, and I always wake up looking like a hot mess. Oh shit! My eyes widened. I bet I look like Frankenstein's bride right now. I quickly covered my face with the blanket. Then I start to remember what happened last night. Asher stopping at my door. Me in my towel. The wine I consumed. Playing twenty questions. Dry humping Asher to a very happy ending as he did delicious things to my body.
Fuck me.
âHey Ivy, how was work, kill Regina George yet?... Nothing interesting happened over here while you were gone!â I laugh nervously. âNope. Iâm just about to get off my very comfortable pillow that looks like Asher but definitely isnât! I had it made to look life-like for the times heâs annoyed me, so I could punch him whenever I wanted. I thought it would be a good stress reliever. You can leave now so I can get dressed for the day.â I scream from underneath the blanket.
I waited for her to leave, but I didn't hear any footsteps leaving. I creeped back up from the blanket to see if I was wrong, to find her looking at me with narrowed eyes. Then I looked up to see Asher barely containing his laughter as his body started shaking.
âWow Haze, I canât believe you were able to make a pillow thatâs so life-like. You must have spent a fortune on it! I hope the real Asher never sees it though. He might think his coach is obsessed with him.â She rolls her eyes sarcastically.
âI know right? He must never find out about my new obsession.â I nod solemnly as I look anywhere but at him.
Ivy purses her lips and looks back and forth between me and my âpillowâ Iâm curled against. âI guess I should go meet the real Asher if youâre so obsessed youâre turning him into a pillow. Iâll be right back.â
She runs out, and before I can even say anything to Asher she runs back in wheezing, out of breath.
âWell what do you know, heâs not at his apartment. Ready to give up the ghost now?â She grins triumphantly. I refused to go down that fast though.
âHeâs probably at some hoeâs house.â I tap my forehead like Iâm thinking.
