EMPATH HEALING

A Survival Guide that will Enable you to Stop Absorbing Negative Energies. Improve your Emotional Intelligence and Overcome your Anxiety by Developing Empathy and Social Skills

Introduction

An empath has likely always been able to pick up on another person’s thoughts and emotions, whether they knew why or not, and I trust that the tips throughout this book will help empaths separate their own from others. As an act of self-preservation, it’s important to be able to do that, though you can be there for another person. Their trauma is not yours. Always remember that.

Rather than absorb negativity and overwhelm yourself with the emotions of others, be kind to yourself. Let go of these things. Take a deep breath and use the coping mechanisms I’ve given you to move on from them. If you let them burden you, they can go so far as to damage you physically. Practice self-care so as not to suffer from things like fatigue. If things ever get too much, it is okay to take a step back for yourself. As an empath, it can be incredibly difficult to take time for yourself, but you are under no obligation to fix everyone else.

This is a special gift. It is not something that can be developed or taught. You either are an empath or you aren’t. It’s something that you are born with, and no one can take that away from you. Embrace it. Learn to use these abilities and thrive in your life rather than let them drag you down. It’s not every day someone can say they are an empath. Understand how truly unique that gift is.

Of course, it’s better to learn the mechanisms to adapt early on in your life, but it’s never too late to learn. I congratulate you on taking this journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-improvement. I hope that you will never stop taking steps forward because there is no such thing as over-improvement. With the proper education about your gift, you’ll be less likely to resort to destruction and will be able to find healthier ways to cope.
