Regardless of the parenting style, there will always be certain thoughts and behaviors that the authority figure leaves the child, often in an uncontrolled and unconscious way.
These habits and behaviors develop as the child grows, and remain present in the conscious mind: in a nutshell, habits and behaviors become an integral part of the individual's personality.
The personality, like the body, grows and changes over time, but in the end it holds firmly to the fundamental values ââtransmitted and learned as children. As the individual grows, the values ââof the parents or carer become more and more evident parts of the personality and of the person as a whole.
How many times have we heard someone tell us that we look like (more in doing or saying things than in physical appearance) to this or that other person?
"You have your mother's eyes, but your father's way of doing it."
Or "Are you as shy as ...."
Cases of this kind are the exact proof of how close contact with a certain personality, especially as a child, causes that personality to be incorporated and stored by the recipient individual (the child) and welcomed within the mind.
This is why even in adulthood it is not really possible to free ourselves from this process as powerful as it is unconscious.
Obviously, there is nothing wrong or problematic in the mind of the individual who "receives", in short, of the child.
So far, in short, nothing pathological.
What should be analyzed, however, is that many individuals, unlike many others, do not enjoy that luxury that would allow them to live their lives without the irrepressible weight of a way of thinking instilled in them from an early age, a way of thinking that is the result obviously the environment in which they grew up.
