Simon was going to lose his mind.

He forced a smile as Jackson glanced back at him before turning to the teen running the counter at the mini golf place and paid for their balls and putters. As soon as he wasn’t looking anymore, Simon rubbed at his face and did his best not to stare at the man’s fine, fine ass.

Dear god, he just wanted to bite his cheeks.

Stop it, he scolded himself. Jackson wanted to go slow, so they were going slow. Getting to know each other. Learning if they were a… good fit or whatever.

Like, for real, they were on their third date in as many weeks, which meant that he hadn’t gotten laid in almost a month. Oh god, no—more than a month! He must have been less than successful because Jackson’s steps slowed, and his eyes narrowed as he drew near. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” he said quickly. Too quickly.

“Si…”

“I’m fine!” he chirped, doubling down for some reason. He should just tell Jackson that he wanted to have sex—or at least exchange some quick and dirty handies behind the mini castle at hole seven—but he felt like that wouldn’t be fair. Jackson had said he wanted to wait, so he should just respect that and wait like a damn grown-up.

Who cares that it felt like his brain was about to leak out of his ears from sexual frustration?

He bounded to his feet, manic grin in place, and accepted his putter and pink ball before leading the way to the first hole. It was Friday, but it was early since Jackson had only worked a half day, and Simon had made sure
