This is the eye of a deer. Its eyes are on the sides of its head, and the pupils are wide and oval. Start with the basic outline or accurate line drawing. Look at the many ovals seen in this eye.
Fill in your #1 and #2 darks.
Blend out the gray tones until they are smooth. Blend around the outside of the eye.
Add the eyelashes with very quick strokes. Be sure to keep them soft looking, not harsh. This requires a light, quick stroke. (You will learn more about that a little later, so keep reading!)
