There are various reasons for why a manipulator may love bomb you:

- Their personality is lacking, so they compensate with material objects.

- They feel guilty and are flattering for forgiveness.

- As a method of baiting and switching. They are getting you to lower your defenses.

- They want to build up your image of them. They want to be seen as eternally loving and probably quite wealthy.

Be warned that there’s a fine line between love bombing and normal, healthy affection, so be careful not to misinterpret someone’s love for manipulation.

That said if it begins to feel more like stalking than affections… you might just have a narcissist on your hands.
