His feet pushed against the dark hardwood floor, rolling his chair back toward the open window. A hand with ruby red nail polish reached up and fiddled with his zipper, pulling it back up into position. There was just enough room for the woman to crawl out from under his desk.
âHow was that?â She smiled up at him.
âOh, honey, you know that nobody does it like you,â Chester answered through heavy breaths.
And he meant it. He had a lot of women at his disposal. Some would even say an endless number, but this sweet thing was by far his favorite lately. She did things to his body that no one else had been able to.
Chester didnât know why she was so much hotter than the usual broads he kept around. Perhaps it was her lower class. Usually, Chester made it a rule to hang out with wealthy women. For years, heâd been telling himself that rich women wouldnât bother him about his money, since they had their own.
That ended up not being true. The women from wealthy families still wanted expensive trips, gifts, endless fine dining. When Chester figured out that there was no woman on Earth whoâd see him as anything but a bag of cash, heâd decided that he might as well date broke women since they appreciated anything he did for them.
His new plan was working out in his favor.
First, because she was extraordinarily eager to please him, she didnât want to lose her place in his life. And second, she wasnât used to having money, so she had lower expectations than upper-class ladies did. Chester ended up spending significantly less money on her than he had on any of his other tramps.
âWhy donât you go get cleaned up in my bathroom? I made reservations for dinner.â
Her eyes widened. âReservations? Chester, you know I canât be seen with you right now. All the rich diners around here will recognize me.â
âRelax, sweetheart. You think Iâm an imbecile? I didnât make reservations in Savannah. Weâll be taking a limo to Beaufort.â
âWeâre going to South Carolina? Oh.â A smile brightened her pretty features. âWell, thank you. Thatâs awful sweet. Whatâs the occasion?â
âThought you could use a pick-me-up after the news of Bryceâs death.â
She poked him in the chest, a playful expression on her face. âAre you kidding me? The news was the pick-me-up. Iâve never been so relieved.â
Hips swinging, she sashayed to the bathroom off Chesterâs grandiose office. He spent so much time in this building, heâd made certain it had been built to his exact specifications. A dazzling chandelier hung over his office desk. White wainscoting surrounded him on the walls, leading down to the marble tile floor. The real masterpiece was the bathroom, though. Heâd wanted a full bath with a jetted tub connected to his office.
Most would consider that a little much, but Chester viewed it as a necessary expense. He couldnât get through a workday without a woman paying him a sensual visit. He needed a romantic place to seduce them, and the tub was perfect for his purposes.
