Quaddick State Forest & State Park

Location: Northeast corner of the state. From US 395, exit 99.

The chief attraction here is Quaddick Reservoir, over two miles long. The Park attracts visitors for swimming and sailing. The forest, north of the Park, has hiking opportunities.

Rocky Neck State Park

Location: From Connecticut Turnpike take Exit 72, then south.

This State Park is always crowded during the late spring and summer months. It is one of Connecticut’s few state beaches. Out of season it is delightful and its several habitats provide interest for birders.

Camping: 169 sites.

Hiking: About four miles of wonderfully kept trails.

Fishing: Mackerel, striped bass, blackfish and flounder.
