Seth knew he was making a terrible mistake but when Zoe slipped from his body and caught his hand and dragged his ass off the bed he didn’t resist.

He did lift his SIG off the bedside table, proving he hadn’t totally lost his mind but that was almost worse. He couldn’t blame this less-than-professional conduct on temporary insanity.

He’d already broken the golden rule of close protection. Never get personally involved with a client. And even though Zoe was correct in that there wasn’t much difference between his ability to react when asleep versus when having sex there were other issues. Like getting distracted on the job thinking about all the ways he could make her come. Like forgetting she and her family could destroy him without mercy if they so chose. Like knowing his boss would be bitterly disappointed that Seth had abandoned all his training at the first chance of a quick fuck.

Didn’t seem to change his immediate need for this woman. Or hers for him, apparently.

Seth dumped the condom in the bathroom trash and saw Zoe had another foil wrapper in her hand which she tossed on the counter.

His pulse gave a little skip. “Optimistic.”

She laughed her throaty laugh that was so freaking sexy.

He’d thought his dick was sated but looking at her standing naked in the ugly bathroom had him growing hard all over again. Her body was soft in all the right places. Her curves made his knees go weak. The taste of her had settled onto his tongue like a memory.

She reached into the tub to turn on the shower, checking the temperature with the back of her hand.

“I thought we could save water by showering together.” She turned to face him, laughter lighting up those captivating turquoise eyes of hers.

“I am all about the environment.”

She climbed beneath the spray of water and he was toast.

He put the SIG and the condom within easy reach. Then he locked the door behind him. It wasn’t much protection but on the off chance someone burst into the room with a gun it might give him the split second he needed to get the drop on them first.

He climbed in behind her and reached over to squirt soap into his hands then smoothed it over her arms and over her shoulders. His fingers dug into the tight muscles of her neck and she tilted her head to one side as he massaged her shoulders. She moaned softly. She felt ridiculously good, but also tense.

He ran his unshaven jaw over her neck, gently scraping the delicate skin. He knew she liked what he was doing from her shortened breath and soft moan of arousal.

He slid his hands under her arms and came up to cup her breasts. She leaned her head back against his chest. She was so responsive that it was intoxicating.

He pinched her nipples and she arched her back.

“You like that?”

“I love that.” She practically purred.

He grabbed more soap and slicked it down her body, sliding between her legs with teasing strokes.
