Animals with increased urine production (polyuria) will often have decreased potassium (hypokalemia).

Calcium Hypocalcemia can occur in dogs, cats, and ruminants with chronic renal failure.

Hypercalcemia can occur in horses with renal failure but is less common in dogs and cats.
