Yet, Catherine had a point. I wasn’t sure when or if I would be ready to make room in my life for someone else. Or if I could ever trust my judgment again. Amber’s little talk on trust hit home in unexpected ways. Did I want to end up like her?

With all those thoughts in my head, I went back to reading.
