âWhen are they going to be done?â Ares complained, crossing his arms over his chest as he leant in the archway of the room.
His Chosen One lay on the large bed, the princess straddling her thighs, a seductive grin on her lips as she held up a rope, her eyebrows raised both in question and challenge.
âYou know how it is with new love; you cannot get enough of one another,â Aphrodite reminded him with a laugh. The goddess came in from the balcony, joining him in the doorway and sliding her hands over his shoulders to caress the coarse hairs on his chest, watching the two women.
âBesides, do we not still take to one another at every opportunity with the same fervour?â she asked, pressing her lips to his neck. âYou notice the princess grows bolder in this place and your Chosen One does not appear to mind,â she added, grinning as Alexis tied the rope first around Skylarâs hands, then to the base of the metal torch holder on the wall above the bed.
âShe allows much from her companion,â Ares smiled, taking one of Aphroditeâs hands and kissing the palm. âBut honestly â a week? At this rate they shall not be able to travel from their constant ⦠exertions and I am eager to have them on their way. I grow impatient to have my battle with Father.â
âTrust me; their time here has been well spent, as I knew it would be when I suggested it.â
âHow could you know they would speak of everything they have?â
âAsclepius was not the only one keeping close watch on them in Epidaurus. I saw the depth of their love, their devotion to one another. I knew then that Alexis would, without a doubt, select no one other than Skylar if she was presented in a ceremony with other women. I have to admit though, the incense I had them prepare was more potent than I intended; I did not expect them to speak of their fears or past lovers their very first night.
âBut Skylarâs strength for who you need her to be can only be achieved with Alexis at her side, not apart as you first suggested. Somehow, I knew if I placed them together and created the right atmosphere they would speak of what they kept inside, that what they feared most would arise as they enjoyed the pleasures of one anotherâs bodies ⦠and of course I gave them the tools and desires to bring about such conversations.â
Ares grinned. âYou certainly did. The phallus, the rope there,â he noted, indicating the items. âYou ensured they were in here so Alexis would ask Skylar about them, about her past and those she had been with? To share that part of herself with her new lover?â
âYes, and in return, Skylar had to accept and believe once and for all that Alexis loved her, no matter what or who her past held. She had to have Alexis show her, prove it in a way no other lover had.
