17. Jamon Iberico

In one episode, Hannibal is seen slicing a gigantic leg of ham. Known as Jamon Iberico, it is one of the most expensive cuts of meat in the world. Here is how you can slice one and serve at a cocktail party.

Serving size: 20-30

Cooking time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

1 high-quality Jamon Iberico

Salt and pepper to season

Instructions:

1. Place the ham leg on a stand with the hoof pointing in the opposite direction.

2. Using a carving knife, cut around the joint along the foreleg.

3. Using a sharp knife, cut out the rind and visible fat.

4. Using the same knife, cut out thin slices from the meat.

5. Make sure it does not have any yellow layers and skin on it.

6. Once you reach the hip bone, cut the meat using a preparation knife.

7. Finally, cut around the hip bone. You will find some flavorful dark meat there.

8. Overlap the slices on a large platter and season with salt and pepper.

9. Serve immediately.
