CHAPTER 26

The sexual tension inside this studio is enough to make anyone crazy. I think it’s rubbed off on our customers. The couple in front of me are here to pick up their wedding photos. They are making goo-goo eyes at each other and haven’t stopped touching since they arrived.

I try not to stare for too long, so I put my attention on the photo in front of me. Luke was going through pictures from my boudoir session and gave me a few samples this morning to look over. He, of course, gave me the stiletto one. My entire life I’ve been mildly confident in my appearance, but seeing these photos, especially this one, made me see myself in a whole new light. I didn’t grimace at the extra skin on my stomach or ass, and my love handles curve in such a way that rounded out my body in all the right places.

Luke comes out of the back office with the couple’s wedding pictures. I stand to help him with the large, framed portrait of their wedding day.

He leans down and plants a sensual kiss on her lips. Luke and I stand in awkward silence, with half grins on both our faces. The husband brushes his wife’s raven black locks behind her ear, before facing us.

“Well, these are the digital prints.” Luke hands them a USB drive. “In this envelope are the eight by tens you asked me to print, and that—” He points to the large golden frame. “Is the one you both picked out.”

I turn the frame so that they can see. They gasp at the sight and touch each other again like they can’t get enough. I give them both a tight smile as the burly husband looks at me.

“These came out amazing. Seriously, you are getting a rave review from us. Luke, your photos are unbelievable.”

Luke is beaming. He deserves it with all the effort he puts into his shoots and edits. I’ve never seen anyone’s photos turn out as amazing as his. While he’s talking to them, I find myself wrapped up in his gorgeous smile. Back in high school, I thought he was cute, but not enough for me to be attracted to him. Getting to
