Location: 40 miles northwest of West Yellowstone on Cliff Lake.

Sites: 6 for tents or RVs/Trailers up to 16 feet long.

Finding the campground: Take US Highway 191 north out of West Yellowstone for 8 miles. Turn left onto US Highway 287 and travel 27 miles. Turn left onto gravel Forest Road 241 and travel 3 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 572 and travel 2 miles. Bear left at the second intersection.
About the campground: After traveling across the open, dusty access road up and down the steep hillsides, this hidden oasis will leave you wishing you had an unlimited stay. Pine trees carpet the mountainsides as they slope into the shoreline of the ice-cold waters of Cliff Lake. When the weather allows, the campground is open from June 1 through September 15.
