How Can I Be a Cheerleader Villager?
Admittedly, the term cheerleader is something of a misnomer, since the focus should not be on acting cheerfully but rather on acting supportively. You can be a cheerleader villager even if you disagree with a friendâs decision. You should not feel as though you canât express your opinion. But you can do so in a way that aims not to hurt but to help. Make it clear that you still support the person even if you donât support the decision itself. Let them know you will continue to provide that support in spite of any choices they make. Remember, at the end of the day, the members of your village are leading lives different than your own, and part of being a cheerleader is learning when to cheer.
Some people instinctively know how to lift someoneâs spirits; itâs second nature. Those people will tell you that itâs easier to do so for others than for yourself. Or at least, thatâs how I feel. I love cheering on my fellow villagers. It makes me feel great to help others, and I find that being a cheerleader is the most accessible of all the village roles. We donât have to commit a large amount of time, and we can vary our level of intensity for cheering. We can send a text, or we can physically show up for someone. Other village roles may require more time and commitment. This means you can definitely be a cheerleader in multiple circles, as long as you budget your time wisely.
