Of course I’ve had support on my journey and I value it so much but I’ve never relied heavily on anyone else. I always knew my path and have been fairly headstrong in following my calling. But I did go through what I’d call my ‘teenage years’ in my late twenties! I was in Los Angeles, living it up, having fun, dating a few different guys… It was the first time I had really been single. I met some incredible people from so many different walks of life who had amazing insights about the world and I was lucky enough to experience some wonderful moments. I had so much fun! But that time was also admittedly a bit of a reaction to backlash I was receiving back home in Australia. I was caught up in the early wave of social media bullying and needed to take a time out from all the proverbial rocks being thrown at me. It’s hard to deal with that kind of hatred being projected onto you due to other people’s misinformed ideas and I needed to take a minute. With that said, though, I would not be me if I hadn’t gone through that chapter. I’m glad I have those stories to tell my grandkids one day!
