“It’s crazy to think of how fine the line is between success and homelessness,” Chas commented, when Will relayed Boyd’s story about the victim to him.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought too. I don’t know who Boyd was before he became homeless, but he definitely doesn’t fit the stereotype either.”

“Sounds like he’d be worth talking to again. If he’s that outgoing, he probably knows everyone and everything about that encampment,” Chas pointed out.

“That was the impression I got,” Will nodded.

“Eckels said that the victim had a tooth removed, post-mortem. Let’s go check the local pawn shops for people bringing in gold and silver,” Chas rose, heading for the door.

Will followed him into the lobby of the investigation agency, and Chas stopped to answer his phone.

“Beckett,” he answered.

Chas frowned and nodded.

“Where?” he asked.

“When?”

“Same method?”

“Same MO?”

“I’ll stop by in a couple of hours,” he sighed, glancing at his watch.

“Another body?” Will guessed, when Chas got off of the phone.

“Yep. The killer took souvenirs again, but this time it was a strangulation,” Chas explained. “We’ll go check it out after we talk to the pawn shops.
