Devil Anse Hatfield’s younger brother, Good Elias, the reluctant feudist, was indicted but never arrested or tried for the Pawpaw Murders. Although Devil Anse’s grandson Coleman A. In Logan, Good Elias became a councilman, constable, and chief of police.62
