Getting there: From Flagstaff, take Lake Mary Road to its end at Clints Well (54 miles) and turn right (southwest) onto State Hwy 87. Just past mile point 284, turn right onto Forest Road 616 and continue approximately 3.3 miles to a campground to the right. Park here such that you do not block the road. Look to the south across FR 616; you will see a “road closed” sign with a trail marker beside it. This is your trailhead.
