Jim drew him in.
All the way in.
And right there, he stilled.
He couldnât see a thing. The blindfold had turned the world black and drowned Jim in the abyss. But he could feel. Hear. Smell. Taste. And these nerves were all amplified a thousandfold.
He could feel Franâs pulse on his tongue, rabbit-fast and frantic. There were fingers in his hair, slowly relaxing as Jim stilled. Petting. Stroking. A thumb dropped down to brush his cheek and send new nerves crackling into life like an electric charge chasing it for more. He could feel the ache in his jaw beating in tandem with the ache in his cock, and the thickness of the major vein trapped against his thigh an echo of the one he cupped with his tongue. The cold metal biting into his wrists dragged him from the hot safety of Franâs hips and yet the same heat dragged him right back. He hung between the two, still but for the careful, slow breathing.
And he could hear that breathing. Hear it in his nose and easing past the thick shaft almost blocking his throat. He could hear two pulses and, in the darkness, had no real idea which was his own and which was Franâs. The soft rasp of his hair against fingers as Fran stroked both hands to the back of Jimâs head was like grass crunching in the frost, and the soft creak of the office chair like a door groaning in some old, abandoned house.
But it wasnât that which encompassed Jim so completely and tore him from his own body.
It was the smell.
Everything smelled like Fran. Everything. There was nothing but that familiar scent. The marker pens and wood smoke, the cotton and the aftershave, the gentle hint of wine from dinner and the heavier stain of tea that permeated him as though it had dyed his soul. It filled Jimâs nose and mouth like it would never go away, and he drifted in it aimlessly. He was off-balance. He was held in place by the fingers in his hair. They could relax and let him go or persist and choke him. He was blind, and his forearms locked together behind his back, one over the other in the most useless position that could be managed. His cock was a pounding distraction in his jeans, pinned to his thigh and hurting with the need for release.
And yet he was utterly surrounded by Franâs smell.
So he drifted.
None of it mattered. He could hear him, smell him, feel him. And somehow, simply because Jim couldnât see him, it turned Fran from a point in the world to the entire world itself. Fran was the universe. And Jim was utterly contained within that universe, whatever it wanted and wherever it went. There was no escape and there was no desire to. If there was an edge, a place where Jim could step beyond an invisible line and break free, then he wanted to know for the pure avoidance of it.
