Mussolini also launched the "Battle for Land," a land recovery method developed in the year 1928. While programs like the drain of the Pontine Marsh for farming in the year 1935 worked for propaganda, gave work for the jobless, and enabled great land owners to manage aids, other parts of the Battle for Land came a cropper.
