Later, Eric would be proven right again. I would discover not only is energy harder to see through clothes but that it's easier to see with bad vision.

Eric describes how the eye is curved, so your forward vision and peripheral vision are a little different. It's easier to see energy out of the corner of your eye. This same principal applies to bad natural vision. Whenever Eric would look at energy he'd lower his glasses and use his natural eyes. Whether he did this for practical reasons or as confirmation for me that I should try it, is a different topic.

Since my eyes were also bad when I finally started to acknowledge and study my own aura I would practice seeing it in the morning or at night, without my contacts. I remember the days when I could take my contacts out, go meditate, and everything would come to life. Swirling vortexes, auras, it was all so much easier to observe! The details, intricacies and colors!

Until the day came... that I got laser eye surgery. Somehow they left off the brochure for Lasik that it would impair your ability to see energy and dimensional fluxes. All joking aside, it reduced my ability to see energy by at least fifty percent. It makes a difference.

Clothes are a bit different. I think Eric was trying to demonstrate a few things that night. One is that energy can be obscured by physical matter. Only once have I clearly seen energy within, not around, someone's body. There was another student sitting across from me wearing a button shirt and had it hanging open at least 5 inches below his throat. I started by observing his aura and then noticed an incredibly clear line, like a brilliant blue neon sign tube, running from the center of his forehead down his face, throat and on down his chest. It was following his spine. The fact that it was 'inside' his body made no difference, it was phenomenally clear.

As soon as it hit his shirt it was completely shrouded. I couldn't make it out.

I'm sure if you saw this enough to study it this could provide useful information, which is what Eric was after. At the time I was too excited by actually seeing it to get much information.

The second thing Eric was starting to pick at with his "kid gloves" was my deeply embedded fear. Fear would gradually play an increasingly larger role in my development... or lack of. It's hard to tackle something like that overnight. Eric started attacking it from every angle he could find. Enough to make me aware of it without making me lock up and run.

Soon, you'll see my fear in action and part of you will agree with it. Think it natural. If you could switch to a different timeline, into the past and farther into the future, you would see the degree and depth that it controlled me. Like driving around with the emergency brake on.

Loud, unpredictable, at times seemingly arrogant.
