Chapter 16

TAMMY

Tammy was on her hands and knees, pulling weeds from the rose garden that she'd planted. Luca wasn't happy about the long list of things that she needed. Nevertheless, he and Lorenzo went to the nursery and picked up the items with minimal pouting. Jack had joked that he was grateful for the free labor.

He and David were on the basketball court. Jack was teaching him how to dribble the ball. But, truthfully, what he was really doing was occupying his time while Luca and Victoria worked out in the gym. Tammy had watched them practice once before, and even though Victoria could hold her own with most, Luca was really tough on her. Tammy would secretly glance over at Jack, and every time Victoria would get hit or taken down, he appeared to be in physical pain. So Tammy concluded that Jack was avoiding their gym like the plague.

They had been holed up in Jack and Victoria's a little over a month, and everyone seemed to be doing their best to keep busy. They were all suffering from cabin fever. But, for Tammy, there was a bright side. Ever since her date with Luca, they had grown very close; almost inseparable. Tammy was seeing the sweet, romantic side of Luca. Since he had always been so bossy, surprisingly, he was very sensual and affectionate. His smile prompted her own, and his laugh warmed her heart. She didn't have a word for the feelings that she was having for him, but she didn't need one, if for no other reason than she felt happy every time he entered a room.

Tammy had been sleeping next to him every night and waking up next to him every morning. She wouldn't have it any other way. Maybe she was developing a sort of codependency since they were trapped in the same house. Had they not been trapped together, would he still want to spend as much time with her? This was the question that Tammy often asked herself. But, truth be told, Luca wasn't trapped at all. He went out to handle some sort of business every day. For that matter, Jack, Luca, Gianni, and Francis, came and went as they pleased. So truthfully, the women were the only ones that were confined to the house. It was all so very chauvinistic, but the strong women that surrounded Tammy complied without conflict.

"My favorite position," Luca joked, behind her.

Tammy turned to find him standing over her in a sweat ridden t-shirt and baggy sweatpants, that didn't hide his girth. She inadvertently licked her lips, wanting badly to taste his manhood.

"Well, you seem to excel in every position."

"So you've told me," he chuckled. "Are you looking forward to dinner tonight?"

Tammy's father was bringing his "lady friend" over for dinner, and Tammy was a bit nervous about meeting her. She hadn't seen her dad with a woman since her mother. And if he was bringing a woman to meet her, the relationship must have been getting really serious.
