NEUROMARKETING IS NOT a science, but a corner of the marketing world, so I feel some justification in examining it. Neuroscience, on the other hand, is a science, so it may seem presumptuous and/or audacious for me to weigh in on any of its aspects. I can understand why some look at me askance for mucking around in a field in which I have no expertise. So let me state clearly, up front, that what follows simply reflects my best understanding of both neuromarketing and the neuroscience it draws on. Even if I make an occassional inaccurate statement or assumption, I'm confident that the general thrust of my argument remains sound.
