Chapter 22
âIâll be locking you in,â Bo said.
He and his client stood just outside the metal door the woman was behind. She could be heard screaming on the other side. She must have freed the gag from her mouth again.
âDo you watch?â the man asked.
âIâll be observing,â Bo said. âBut you paid to do whatever you want. There are no rules in the room, and Iâm not the judging type if thatâs what youâre concerned about.â
âI justâI just donât know whatâs going to happen in there,â the man said. âThings could get interesting.â
âI donât care what you do. Everyone has their own thing. Just enjoy yourself.â Bo slid the key into the lock securing the metal bar over the door and unlocked it. The womanâs screams became louder as the door pulled open and the man stepped into the doorway.
The guy froze in place with his eyes fixed on the woman bound to the chair. She shrieked for help, screaming for anyone at the top of her lungs.
After what had to be twenty seconds, the client turned back toward Bo.
âSheâs perfect,â the guy said.
Bo gave him a nod. âGood.â
The client stepped into the room and walked toward the woman. She continued to scream, but her noise was quieted as Bo swung the door closed and pulled the metal locking bar down. With the padlock secured, Bo walked to the observation room and took a seat in front of the computer monitors. The room the client and woman were in was up on the main screen. The monitor beside it showed some of the cameras from the rest of the property and grounds. Bo watched the pair in the room. The client was already slapping the woman around. Bo hoped the guy would do whatever he was going to do and be quick about it. As Bo watched and waited, his mind went to just what the hell he was going to do with the womanâs body once the man had killed her.
âWhat I should do is dump her on Michaelâs doorstep,â Bo mumbled to himself. âMake him deal with it.â
Michael would flip if Bo attempted such a thing, yet the more he thought about it, the more the option sounded like the best one. Bo needed to take a stand. Heâd had enough of the arrangement with his brother, and anything short of a drastic displayâlike dumping the woman off at Michaelâsâwould fail to break the cycle. It was time for him to get out from under his brotherâs thumb once and for all. If any of this was going to continue, they would be equals or no partners at all. Michael would have to get his hands equally as dirty, or better still, neither of them would and they would hire someone else for the riskier parts of the operation. Bo rehearsed fictional conversations in his head, including what he would say to Michael when he dumped the womanâs body off and what Michael would say in return. As
