I can’t believe it. It’s not exactly like Nikki’s, but I love it. The cover is sort of shiny red. It has little speckles on it, like the whole cover is a jewel! It’s the most beautiful notebook I have ever seen. I can’t wait to put my name on it.

I write my name in big letters: A-v-a. I tape the tiny snail shell to the cover.

For the rest of the day, I collect all kinds of treasures. You won’t believe what I find! I put everything in the pockets of my hoodie.

When I get home, my mom takes my backpack and hoodie from me so I can go play. I forget all about the treasures. I am too busy making a dragonfly (number ninety-nine on my pet wish list) out of pipe cleaners. Did you know dragonflies were around in dinosaur times? How cool is that?
