CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Nathan
Nathan waited on the porch while Charles made a phone call in his office. He had never been in that room because he locked the door when he wasnât in there. What did he have in that office that no one was to see? He wanted to know, and he also wondered why Charles hadnât taken him to his playroom. Surely he had taken Hans in there for games, but Nathan obviously didnât qualify to go in there. What did he have in there that he couldnât see? Charles had some secrets, but the biggest one had to be how he came by so much money. Heâd worked as a teacher at the academy for at least five years, so he couldnât have earned it by teaching. The headmaster position might pay him well, but this house was expensive, and his sports car too. He didnât look like he needed to work if he lost his position. He never discussed money at all and why would he unless he had something to hide?
Charles carried two drinks outside and handed one to him. He sat beside him in a similar chaise lounge.
âThanks.â Nathan was surprised Charles had made fresh lemonade, something he loved in the summer. The other Charles had known about that, but this one didnât. Yet, here he was, making him his favorite summer drink. It could be a coincidence, or this Charles and the other one could be one and the same. Both were Doms and both were control freaks. What would he do if this Charles was Internet Charles? At this point, he was in love with both of them, so either would do. However, if they were one person, then heâd be okay with it, or maybe he wouldnât. He was so turned on with this Charles.
âI wondered where you were.â Charles had that look in his eyes. He was pleased with something. Nathan only hoped it had to do with him and not Hans.
âI like it out here. Itâs quiet and peaceful, away from the city noise.â
âI thought you liked London.â
âI do, but I only want to go there now and then.â
âHow would you like it if we go riding tonight with James and Tyler?â
âHorses?â
âYes. I know a ranch not too far. I thought youâd like that.â
âI would. Thanks for asking me.â
âWeâre going to have dinner after we ride, so put on some jeans.â
âI hope you donât mind, but I moved into your closet and hopefully your bed.â Nathan feared Charlesâs response. What if he became as angry as he was with Hans? He had to know what Charlesâs anger points were. He didnât want Charles throwing him out the front door like he had with Hans.
âI noticed that last night.â Charles nodded with approval. His sexy grin told Nathan everything he needed to know. He wasnât angry about it.
âSo, are you okay with that, Sir?â
âI loved it when I saw your new outfit hanging in my closet. It looked good in there and made me smile.
