Relation Queries. Relation queries are used to ask for the observations made by some specific sensors when certain values hold in the observations made at the same timestamp by some other sensors. First, the user selects all the sensors that take part in the relation. Then they specify which are the sensors whose values they want to ask for, meaning that the remaining selected sensors are the ones whose values are fixed. The user indicates the fixed value for these sensors, which can be a numerical or boolean value (depending on the type of sensor), or the minimum, maximum or average value registered by the sensor in the specified time range. Once again, the form to create the queries is generated dynamically, based on the selected sensors and the information available about them in the ontology. Average answer times of 1.37 and 2.81 s were observed for a time-storage-window of one day and one week respectively.
