We lay on the bed, Khloe curled in my arms and pressed against my chest, and I never wanted to let her go.

She peeked up at me, puckering her lips the way she did when she was about to laugh and held it back. “Admit it. That was weird—amazing—but weirdly amazing.”

I pretended to consider it. “Which part? That we had no flirt time? That you wouldn’t let me have any foreplay? When I hit you up for a rubber? Or you wearing the shirt the whole time?”

“The shirt was the best part.”

“It better not have been.” I growled and cuddled her closer. “Next time we make love, the shirt goes.”

“Next time? Pretty confident now, aren’t you?”

“Yes. And drawing a line at the shirt.”

I gave a playful tug at the fabric covering her. She swatted my hand and rolled her eyes.

I scrubbed the hair back from my brow. “I know you told me not to ask, but that’s the same as making me have to. Who’d you get the condom from?”

“My nephew.”

“Which one?”

“Row,” she admitted.

I grimaced. Row?

True, he was nineteen and the lead singer in a band—but still. “Are you telling me you hit up your nephew for a cap? What was all that rubbish outside about me being discreet when I left to follow you? The first second alone, you tell a teenager our private details.”

“Oh, the being discreet? It was exactly what you said it was. Rubbish.”

She smiled.

I frowned. “Well, now that you’ve confided in Row, we should just be completely honest with everyone—your parents included—and move my things to your room.”

“We don’t need to explain anything to my family. We’re together. It’s not like my family doesn’t know that we sleep together. And you can stop being annoyed about Row. It’s no big deal. Row was in the kitchen talking to his girlfriend when I got back to the house. I figured he’d have one. He didn’t even blink when I asked. Just tossed me one and kept on talking.”

I growled at her, but I wasn’t annoyed. I was thankful she always planned ahead and remembered the things I forgot.

“We should get up, shower, and dress,” she reminded.

“No.”

Khloe giggled. “What do you mean no? We have—” she leaned around me to check the clock on the nightstand. “—eight minutes until Krystal texts us.”

“Please. Don’t tell me we have to do more presents.”

“We have to go back out there.”

“I told you not to tell me that.”

“Oh, buggar on, will you? It’ll be fun.” She burrowed into my chest. “Besides, I think our present exchange went well.”

“Present exchange?”

She shimmied her hips. “You. Me. The bed.”

I buried my lips in her hair so she couldn’t see my face. “You’d really be happy with just that? If there wasn’t a present from me for you under the tree?”

“Just that?” She quickly sat up and stared down at me. “I gave you all of my love. You gave all of yours to me. What could we find to put in a box under the tree better than that? Don’t call it just that, Damon.
