And that is not to imply that you are separated from God or from your good in any moment. Not at all. You see that is what confuses people so strikingly: the overwhelming sense of self is mistaken for God, instead of fluid self, the open self, the unmanifested self, so you get confused in how you are manifesting things. You get confused about the nature of reality because your ego keeps stepping in with "i." I want it and if "i" don't have it, then it's not right and life does not work for me.

It is important to understand that vibration from repetitive negative thoughts filters down into every area of your life. You may find yourself thinking thoughts such as, "There is only so much that I can have," or you may use "doing without" as a solution which are the subtle reminders of the negativity you are unconsciously generating.

There are also subtle reminders of the spiritual self everywhere. It depends upon where you want to rest your vision, what you open your eyes to. Remember the umbrella? What do you open your eyes to? Do you open your eyes to your intuition about what is coming? To your intuition or to your overwhelming sense of self saying, "That can't be." So, we are going to remodel the house and stay here.

The personal reality you choose to create is very much a part of what you choose to rest your perception on, and what you open your eyes to, and it's going to become more and more striking as these months go by. The need is to intensify such simple things as self-respect, love of God, harmony, well-being, abundance, broad things like that, words that can resonate within you which you then focus on and they are returned to you as highest good in every form. Instead of intensifying one desire, start to intensify the multiplicity of possibilities.

So desire, acceptance, release and acceptance of God still goes together. However, it depends on how you choose to focus. There has never been a difference, but for the overwhelming sense of self that separates you. So it depends on how you look at desire and what posses you. If desire posses you, then Spirit has little chance.

There is a well known spiritual author who says, "You can wear diamonds on your toes as long as they don't possess you." But if your toes must have those diamonds, then you are possessed. The diamonds control you. They are not there to serve you. Everything on Earth is there to serve you, for your pleasure, your use and your enjoyment. In other words, they are meant to do what? Support you. But because of the overwhelming sense of self, they become controllers.

The nature of reality, the positive and the negative can be the same thing. The diamond can be a source of genuine enjoyment. You may look down at your toes and think, "this looks great." But you can take the diamond off and your toes look the same to you.
