Standing in the hallway of my room in Xander's castle, the dim lighting kept anything too far out of sight and mind. My hair had been pulled back and styled perfectly to go with the lilac gown that wrapped around my frame like it was made for only me. I looked up at the man before me, his attire just as nice and polished as my own.

Our eyes finally met, I couldn’t help but stare at them, trying to decide if his eyes were more blue or green as they sparkled intensely down at me. My gaze made its way down to his lips and the one side lifted into his sexy smirk.

“Princess, you look beautiful tonight. I don’t know how much longer I can hold back.” Xander’s words sang in my head as he placed one finger under my chin, lifting it slightly towards him.

“Then don’t.” My gaze flicked to his lips then back to his gorgeous eyes. “Kiss me,” I breathed.

His hand slowly slid down my neck, then my back, stopping at my waist. He pulled me in even closer. His lips gently brushed against my ear as he whispered, “Amara?”

“Amara? Amara!” I nearly fell out of bed but caught myself as his loud screaming woke me.

“What the hell?” I yelled in horror.

Still in my room in Coldoria, the romance novel I had been reading sat on top of me opened, I sighed as everything played through my thoughts. There’s a reason why you shouldn’t fall asleep reading these things. Xander stood in the center of the room, his mouth snapped shut.

Great, don’t tell me I was talking in my sleep or something.

“I came to show you around before dinner after all, but, uh—” He stopped mid-sentence.

“But what?” I questioned him as I slapped my book shut.

“Damn.”

Remembering what I was wearing, my face began to heat up as I shrieked, pulling the covers up over my face. “Oh my God! Turn around!”

Without hesitation he spun around and mumbled, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to uh, sorry. I—I’ll just go.”

“Oh, great. I can’t stop picturing her like that now.”

Just freaking perfect!

He continued to just stand there.

“Get out!” I screamed one more time. “I’ll get dressed and meet you outside my door.”

This can’t seriously be happening right now.

He left without another word.

I can’t believe that dream. Although, I must admit, it was a lot better than those creepy dreams I’ve been having lately.

Making my way over to the dresser once more, I scanned my options. The same lilac dress I wore in the dream was there. I must have seen this earlier while I was looking for something comfy to wear. I slipped into it and was glad this one didn’t have zippers like some of the others I’d been wearing lately. I surveyed the results in the mirror and quickly straightened out my curls and tied half of my hair back, a few pieces at the front fell forward framing my face. God, how can I face him after that?

Xander was waiting for me in the hallway.
